The idea for the film originated from my own personal interaction with the artist whom I used to take my sculpting lessons from. Always positive and energetic Luc seemed to experience a great deal of emotional pain coming from the negativity he felt around and realization that no significant piece of artwork had been created by him in a long while. In an intense search for a solution, Luc came up with the idea of selling the business and moving away from the big city to an isolated island. He craved loneliness and isolation from the outside world.
Do you think loneliness and isolation are necessary for the artist in order to stay creative? What do you need to be creative? Please share your thoughts and experience, I would really appreciate your feedback as I find this subject so interesting, I may continue exploring it in my next film project.
Thank you!

Like in a vessel we collect our observations of the world that surrounds us. And like a vessel first our soul needs to be filled. To contain the wealth and breadth of these observations and experiences the vessel gets narrow leaving only small opening at the top. But to produce and to be precise with the message that is your own to give to people and others that care, first we – the artists must fill up that vessel. We must accumulate that emotional knowledge to the extent it can no longer be contained, to the extent that we need to scream… I too know Luc, today is his birthday by the way. Oh, Luc has so many vessels, his soul is so full.. he is so ready that he can water a whole garden on that island he is escaping to!
